What is macrame?

Macrame uses knots, rather than knitting or weaving, to create textiles. It is often used for decorative items, such as wall hangings or plant hangers, or practical homeware items, such as coasters or trivets. Often, specialist chunky macrame cord is used, but you could try using anything that you can knot!

What you’ll make

With this kit, you will make a hanging garland with 6 flags in pastel rainbow colours. You’ll learn 3 of the most fundamental macrame knots to create your flags, and each flag is the same so you can practice your new found skills! The result is something beautiful to display in your home.
